Growers Direct Coffee Company Corporate Update

Growers Direct Coffee Company, Inc. (OTCBB:GWDC stock message board forums) Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Paul Khakshouri commented that: “Under my leadership, we plan during 2008 and beyond to grow the Company into a coffee entity with a significant global presence.”

Mr. Khakshouri continued, “our strategy of assisting the small farmers will support our growth as we execute new supply contracts with coffee farmers from other producing countries. Additional origins will translate in incremental increase in revenues. Recent record high coffee prices for New York 'C' green beans bode well for our future business as more countries join our 'Growers Direct' distribution system.

“We are in the process of implementing our previously announced management changes, aimed at improving our delivery of information to the market, increasing profitability and accelerating our growth. We will continue to develop our 'Growers Direct Coffee' brand by making coffee available at retail locations in the United States.

“We are in process of selling our Papua New Guinea and 'Penlyne Castle' brand 'Jamaican Blue Mountain' coffee through a controlled network of distributors that will identify these coffees as 'Growers Direct Coffee.' Supermarkets and grocery chain stores are a major source of sales of roasted coffee to the mass consumers. There are approximately 12,000 retail points of distribution across the United States.

“The Growers Direct coffee business model that we have pioneered is unique and rare, as our coffee suppliers are shareholders of a public company. It further demonstrates the strength of our first to market business model. Coffee farmers being shareholders is an unrealized asset of our company. Additional information will be made available for distribution shortly to showcase socially responsible and ethical aspects to the investors about Growers Direct.”

In a December issue, the Wall Street Journal in an article highlighted the labor shortages being experienced in Asia and India. (This article is posted on our website, www.growersdirectcoffee.com). The article quotes Mr. Ramesh Rajah, President of the Indian Coffee Exporters Association, wherein he points out “the higher wages available in industry jobs is creating a labor shortage on Indian plantations and state owned farms in Vietnam…He estimates that India experienced a 30-35% labor shortage for the cherry picking crop that began October 1, 2007.”

Mr. Khakshouri continued, “We will continue to execute on our 'Growers Direct' distribution strategy. Our Joint Venture partners will open the first café in Shanghai on February 29, 2008. We are in the process of securing five additional café locations for the first quarter in 2008. Uncommon Grounds Inc. will be the sole and exclusive supplier of our roasted specialty coffees grown by our farmer shareholders completing the 'Tree to Cup' concept in a unique manner. We will capture 100% revenue from the supply of roasted coffees and, in addition, will derive 20% of the net revenues of the Joint Venture.

“As we meet the milestones noted above, we will make announcements of these accomplishments. Further, we are in the process of negotiating the sale of roasted coffees to various retail outlets to ensure our branded 'Growers Direct' label is available for sale at retail outlets. Acquisition discussions and potential joint ventures are continuing on a couple of fronts, and upon completion we will provide an update to our shareholders.”
