Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (HYBR.OB) - Co-Developer of Hi Tech Hybrid Living Home Thursday, June 5th, 2008
Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (HYBR.OB) has teamed with Enviro Custom Homes, Inc., Smart Technologies, Inc., and Sedmek, Inc. to build the world’s first truly hybrid home. Hybrid Technologies, Inc. is a development stage technology company that focuses on developing and marketing lithium-powered vehicles and products, as well as on the commercial and residential applications of these batteries. The company has developed cars, motorcycles, mopeds, small, four-wheeled vehicles, and lithium-powered supplemental energy products for homes that reduce the need for conventionally generated electricity.
The 6,200 sq. ft. home is located in the Pinehurst subdivision in southern Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The architecture of the home resembles a French Country estate, while it incorporates the solar axis and the natural orientation of the 0.85-acre lot. The home is constructed on three levels and features amenities such as a main floor master suite, waterfall, fireplaces, a walk-out lower level, six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a media room, a wine cellar, and family/recreation rooms on all three levels. This home will also serve to provide charging systems for the electric cars and motorbikes that Hybrid Technologies produces. The home will be the showcase for the subdivision, and will sell for around $2 million.
What differentiates this home from other environmentally-focused projects is the integration of the latest in alternative and renewable energy features with recent advances in Smart Home technologies. Elements such as energy-efficient and environmentally friendly design and construction techniques, and a healthy yet luxurious lifestyle, are being brought together to create the ultimate home of the future.
Using the latest technologies, the house features solar panels and wind turbines as alternative energy sources. The home uses Hybrid Technologies, Inc’s Lithium-powered batteries to store the energy generated by the solar panels and wind turbines. While providing a zero-emission, off-the-grid lifestyle, it maintains all the comforts of home, with the integration of a geothermal system for heating and cooling. Upon completion, the home will be open for viewing to the public for one year. During this time, scientists will analyze all systems for inclusion into future Hybrid Living Subdivisions.
As scientists race to develop green technologies to supplant current carbon based technologies, Hybrid Technologies, Inc is wise to collaborate with other high tech innovators to find alternative areas where its cutting-edge battery products can be applied.
Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (HYBR.OB) - Now Covered by 24-7stockalert.net Website Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008
In late May, Hybrid Technologies, Inc (HYBR.OB) gave Popular Mechanics Magazine an exclusive first look at its new, green 220+ mph supercar, the Automotive X Prize. Popular Mechanics reviewed the renderings and video, was very impressed, and wrote a very positive review. Today, 24-7stockalert.net announced that it will cover Hybrid Technologies in its newsletter. 24-7stockalert.net focuses on providing financial info, news, and investment ideas to savvy investors.
Hybrid Technologies, Inc. is a development stage technology company that focuses on developing and marketing lithium-powered vehicles and products, as well as commercial and residential applications for its products. With concerns mounting over the negative effects of combustion engines, the use of hybrid-powered vehicles - which addresses the transportation needs of around 80% of the US - will place much less stress on the environment. The company has developed cars, motorcycles, mopeds, small four-wheeled vehicles, and lithium-powered supplemental energy products for houses that reduce the need for conventional electric power.
The new Hybrid Technologies vehicle, the Automotive X Prize, is a high-end passenger car. Ron Cerven, a Hybrid Technologies project development engineer, stated that the high-tech vehicle would have regenerative braking, as well as aero parts that will affect its downforce and drag. He also stated that the design would center on passenger comfort and the drive train, and that the vehicle would need to hit 220 miles per hour minimum.
Thankfully for anxious enthusiasts, Popular Mechanics stated that a drivable prototype will be ready by September.
Popular Mechanics Takes a First Look at Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (HYBR.OB) New Supercar Monday, June 2nd, 2008
Recently, Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (HYBR.OB) shared its much-anticipated, high-performance sports car with Popular Mechanics. Hybrid is one of the emerging leaders in the development of 100 percent electric-powered products worldwide.
The Progressive Automotive X Prize (AXP) competition, sponsored by Progressive Insurance, has inspired Hybrid to develop its latest entry into the highly-competitive electric vehicle market. Those at Popular Mechanics who have seen the vehicle report that Hybrid’s super car “crushes Prius and Corvette.”
Ron Cerven, a project development engineer, stated that the AXP car’s design will center on the drivetrain and the passenger’s level of comfort. In many exotic vehicles, the passenger’s comfort is oftentimes overlooked. When asked if the AXP car would hit the 600+ horsepower level, Cerven replied that Popular Mechanics was “way out of the ballpark—it’s gonna be wild.”
The AXP entry, a hybrid that combines fuel with lithium-ion technology, is expected to reach a minimum of 220 mpg. The mainstream all-electric model is expected to reach a range of 150 to 180 miles per charge. A driveable prototype is scheduled for completion in September 2008.
