Hybrid Technologies Inc. (HYBR.OB) Displays an Impressive Product Line with Prices Starting at Just $17,500
Thursday, August 21st, 2008

Hybrid Technologies is a leader in the field of lithium battery-powered products and a contender in the upcoming X-Prize battle for electric vehicles. Scientific publications and television shows have documented the company’s research and development of their emission-free electric vehicles. Now available on their website, www.hybridtechnologies.com, is a full lineup of models and pricing on many of their most popular vehicles.

Liv FLASH is the name given to the company’s electric version of the Mini-Cooper. The car provides great handling and does not have the diminished power that people often expect from an electric vehicle; it can go from 0-60mph in just 9.0 seconds! The Liv FLASH is capable of reaching speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour and can travel between 100 and 120 miles on one 6-hour charge. The car has an estimated lifespan of over 2,500 charges or over 250,000 miles and only comes with a base sticker price of $57,500.

Hybrid Technologies also offers the Liv INIZIO, which is a two-door, race-inspired sports car that can go from 0 to 60mph in 4.0 seconds. This is the same car that is the base for the model that will be used to compete for the X-Prize! It is capable of reaching speeds of 160 mph and can travel up to 160 miles on a single charge. To stop the pure performance of this car are four oversized disk brakes which nicely compliment the 18’’ front tires and 20’’ rears.

Other products include a full electric motorcycle, the Liv RYDER, which starts at only $17,500. The bike can reach speeds of over 70 miles per hour and, depending on packages, can drive a range of at least 40 miles. A fully electric engine really brings a new feeling to a Sunday cruise on the motorcycle.

Another new product from Hybrid Technologies is the Liv DASH, a subcompact that is ideal for city drivers due to its length of only 98’’. With a range of up to 150 miles, the DASH is a commuter’s dream and won’t scare you on the highway since it is capable of speeds of up to 80 miles per hour. The new product line from Hybrid Technologies has appeal for all drivers.

Alan Thicke Drives Home Vehicle from Hybrid Technologies (HYBR.OB)
Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

Hybrid Technologies, Inc. is an electric car manufacturer based in Mooresville, NC. If the name is ringing any bells, it is because Mooresville is the birthplace of NASCAR. It seems almost the perfect location for automotive innovation, and Hybrid is definitely known as an innovator.

Hybrid Technologies takes traditional gas-powered cars, and converts them to fully-electric, lithium ion battery-operated vehicles. The company has been receiving a lot of publicity, including attention from Hollywood. In fact, well-known actor Alan Thicke recently made his way to Mooresville to tour Hybrid’s facilities and take home the company’s version of the BMW Mini Cooper convertible. In addition to other versions of popular cars like the PT cruiser and the Mini, Hybrid has also designed a sports car from the ground up.

Alan Thicke appeared on FOX NEWS Charlotte expressing the pressure felt by the Hollywood elite to set a “green” example for the rest of the country. Of all his options, Mr. Thicke chose Hybrid, stating, “This was the most impressive to me, with the broadest scope of possibilities, and so I said ‘I gotta come see what they’re up to. It just makes so much sense, economically and environmentally.’”
