Jan Rowinski Succeeds the Late Dr. Tapan Bose

Hydrogen Engine Center, Inc. (HEC) (OTCBB: HYEG.OB) announced today that it has appointed Jan Rowinski, Managing Partner Bay Stream Ventures Inc., to the Board of Directors of HEC Canada with immediate effect.

Mr. Rowinski, age 55, has successfully led high-tech start-ups and introduced leading-edge technologies in challenging US, Canadian and international environments. Mr. Rowinski is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Bay Stream Ventures, a corporate development and management consulting firm specializing in Business Development, Corporate Strategy, M&A, Financing, and Performance Improvement. He is also a Co-Founder of GPS Latitude, a provider of security solutions and tracking for mobile assets, including advanced cost effective integrated mobile digital video tracking / recording and live wireless transmission solutions. Mr. Rowinski was the Co-Founder and EVP, business development and operations of MicroSlate Inc., a world leader and pioneer in the design and manufacture of patented, rugged mobile / wireless pen tablets, handheld and notebook computers.

He also was the Co-Founder and President / CEO of JYL Logic Inc. a developer and manufacturer of multilingual computers, instrumentation, multiplexers and peripherals. JYL Logic was a key supplier of computer products to the Québec and Canadian Federal Government agencies, schools and OEM’s, such as, Phillips and IBM.

Mr. Rowinski served as a Lecturer / Chair in numerous conferences regarding Technology and Mobile / Wireless Computing. He is also a member of the Canadian Security Association (CANASA). Mr. Rowinski holds an MBA degree from McGill University, B.Sc. in Mathematics, and an Electrical Engineering (DEC). Mr. Rowinski currently resides in Montréal, Canada.
