IBAS News iBasis Names Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary
BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--iBasis, Inc. (NASDAQ: IBAS), the global VoIP company, today announced that it has named Mark Flynn, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. He is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the company and providing counsel on a range of issues, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.
“Mark brings substantial experience in all of the major aspects of corporate legal affairs and governance,” said Ofer Gneezy, president and CEO of iBasis. “We are very pleased to have him join the senior management team, and we look forward to his contributions to iBasis’ continued growth and success.”
Prior to joining iBasis, Flynn held senior counsel positions with several companies in the manufacturing and service sectors, as well as positions in well respected law firms. Most recently he was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Imagistics International Inc., a NYSE-traded company in the document imaging industry. Prior to that, Flynn was a partner in the Business Practices Group of Wiggin & Dana, LLP, a top-tier law firm based in Connecticut. He also held general counsel positions at ServiceMaster Diversified Health Services, and Arcadian Corporation and was Senior Deputy General Counsel at Olin Corporation. Flynn received a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a B.S. degree from Fordham College of Business Administration.
