IFMX News InforMedix Expands Agreement with Enhanced Care Initiatives to Include Texas

ROCKVILLE, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 2006--InforMedix Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:IFMX), creating a new technology platform that improves medication adherence and enables patients to manage chronic illnesses at home, announced today that its previously announced agreement with Enhanced Care Initiatives (ECI) for the State of Tennessee has been expanded to include a newly developed program for the State of Texas.

Based in Shelton, CT, Enhanced Care Initiatives is a specialty care management company focused on the top 3% to 4% of chronically ill patient populations that have multiple co-morbidities and the highest costs (comprising approximately 27% of all healthcare expenditures nationwide). ECI's proprietary SAM electronic Health Record - which drives its hands-on Community Based Program, has been designed to monitor and improve the health status of these complex and expensive patients. InforMedix has developed for ECI a custom designed application of its highly interactive Med-eMonitor system to be fully integrated with the SAM platform.

Dr. David Chess, ECI President and CEO said he views the InforMedix Med-eMonitor as, "An important extension of the SAM platform that provides ECI with a meaningful competitive advantage." Dr. Chess commented that ECI plans to utilize the Med-eMonitor with virtually 100% of its complex psychiatric patients, and that a large number of frail elderly patients would also be involved in using the InforMedix's "smart pillbox."

Bruce A. Kehr, MD, chairman and CEO of InforMedix, said, "We are pleased that a highly respected customer has decided to come back to InforMedix as its business expands. This is the kind of cooperative relationship we are seeking. InforMedix looks forward to supporting ECI in bringing its proven program to patients in increasing numbers of states and localities across the country."

About InforMedix

InforMedix has developed the Med-eMonitor System as The Medication Adherence Solution for disease management and clinical drug trials markets. InforMedix has integrated a portable patient-interactive monitoring device, hardware, software and networked communications system to enable disease management programs, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and medical researchers to efficiently monitor and manage patients' medication and care plan adherence, clinical response, and drug safety. The Med-eMonitor is specifically designed to improve patient medication compliance and care plan adherence in disease management and clinical drug trials programs. In a recent program for diabetes patients, the Med-eMonitor System improved mean medication adherence rates to over 92% compared to a baseline medication adherence rate of 40%, and also reduced Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) levels by an average of 18.5% in a 3 month period (p value less than .002). The Med-eMonitor System leverages InforMedix's strong intellectual property consisting of 15 issued patents and 13 patents pending. InforMedix's patents have been cited as prior art by patent examiners in over 150 other issued patents. To find out more about InforMedix, Inc. (OTCBB:IFMX), visit our website at www.InforMedix.com.
