IMCB News Sandpoint Financial and Technical Center Announces Ground Breaking

SANDPOINT, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 11, 2006--The Sandpoint Financial and Technical Center, which has been in the planning stages for many months, will break ground on July 19, 2006, at their building site at the corner of 4th and Church Street. The center will address the expanding scope of financial needs for the growing North Idaho community.

The public is invited to participate in the ground breaking celebration, beginning at 11 a.m. with refreshments and an exhibition of the architectural scale models.

The official groundbreaking ceremony will be highlighted by presentations from Idaho Governor Jim Risch, IMCB Chairman of the Board Jack Parker and IMCB Chief Executive Officer Curt Hecker. Speeches will begin at noon, followed by the ground breaking at 12:45 p.m.

The Sandpoint Financial and Technical Center will provide a central location for Panhandle State Bank's downtown Sandpoint services as well as the corporate offices of Intermountain Community Bancorp (OTCBB:IMCB). There will be space for additional tenants, as yet undetermined.

The 94,000 square foot facility plans offer a unique concept in community banking. The brick, stone and wood building, designed by architectural firm g.d. longwell -- architects, pllc in Northwest style, will include space for community gatherings, a video conferencing center, and a training center. Local non-profit organizations will be invited to use these meeting amenities at no charge.
