ISRY News IsoRay Medical Significantly Increases Site Licensing Pipeline of Cesium-131 from First to Second Fiscal Quarter 2007

RICHLAND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spurred by broadening medical center acceptance of Cesium-131 as a brachytherapy treatment for prostate cancer, IsoRay Medical, Inc., from fiscal 1st Quarter 2007 to 2nd Quarter 2007, has significantly increased the number of sites that are either revenue producing, in the process of getting licensed for Cesium-131, or are targeted and are in advanced discussions to adopt Cesium-131.

IsoRay, Inc. ("IsoRay") (OTCBB:ISRY) is a medical isotope company that focuses on brachytherapy solutions for prostate and other malignant tissue cancers through use of its proprietary Cesium-131 radioisotope.

Over the last two-quarters, the number of medical centers, hospitals and clinics in the site licensing pipeline jumped from 45 to 91 sites. Revenue producing sites have jumped from 17 to 29. Sites in the process of amending their licenses doubled from 6 to 12, and sites that are in late stage discussions to adopt Cesium-131 have grown from 22 to 50. (See chart below.)

“The marked increase in the number of licensed and ordering locations has created significant momentum. These are important locations to us. They were among the first to adopt and embrace Cesium-131 as a treatment option and we are seeing their influence broaden to other centers,” said IsoRay Chairman and CEO Roger Girard.

Girard cited the outstanding results from those currently using Cs-131 and the expansion of IsoRay’s sales team as key factors in the continued site adoption and sales growth. The number of sales personnel increased from 3 to 10 during the last quarter.

“These are seasoned industry veterans and their efforts have generated almost immediate results. We emphasize providing superior training, education and support for our customers, and the sales team’s efforts are having a positive impact on progressive conversions beginning with the licensing process.”

About IsoRay

IsoRay, Inc., through its subsidiary, IsoRay Medical, Inc., is the sole producer of the Cesium-131 brachytherapy seed, used to treat prostate and other cancers. The Cesium-131 seed offers a significantly shorter half-life than the two other isotopes commonly used for brachytherapy, which results in a substantially faster delivery of therapeutic radiation and lower probability of cancer cell survival. IsoRay is based in Richland, Washington. More information is available about IsoRay at www.isoray.com.
