MBTT News Metaware to Join MB Tech at CES
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 3, 2006--MB Tech Inc. (OTCBB: MBTT) said today that Metaware Co. Ltd. (Metaware) will join them at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The two companies will jointly present their wares in the Product Innovations area at the Sands Expo and Convention Center No. 70919E.
MB Tech recently announced an agreement to acquire an interest in Metaware. Their joint presentation at CES further indicates the strategic nature of their business and the progress they are making in merging their two businesses.
MB Tech will debut its "Faserwave" DBS Flat Antenna and introduce several follow-up products in the Faserwave line. The Faserwave lineup currently consists of the recently completed auto positioning flat antenna for portable stationary use, the marine antenna, and a phased shift array antenna for in motion DBS reception. Together these products represent cost-effective innovations which will be new to the broad consumer market. These products are ideal for satellite service providers such as DirecTV, DISH and others.
Metaware will exhibit several set-top box receiver tuner solutions for everything from free to air receiver tuners to multi-functioning digital set-top boxes and DVRs for the global cable and satellite markets. "With MB Tech's awaited completion of R&D and successful testing of the first line of Faserwave product, Metaware's manufacturing, distribution, industry knowledge, and financial ability should prove to be a highly complementary union," stated Hanwook Bae, president of MB Tech.
