MSSI News MSSI Awarded $1.5 Million Contract: Department of Health & Human Services, Louisiana
VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Medical Staffing Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:MSSI),
an established provider of medical personnel and technology services to
government and commercial clients, has been awarded a three-year, $1.5
million new contract for nursing services with the Department of Health
and Human Services in support of the National Hansen’s
Disease Program based in Louisiana. This represents the third contract
win with this agency in support of this program through the company’s
wholly-owned subsidiary, TeleScience International, Inc.
Under the terms of the contract, the company provides multiple full-time
and part-time employees at the Summit Hospital in Baton Rouge and the
Gillis Long Hansen Disease Treatment Facility in Carville, Louisiana.
These are the only two facilities in the nation dedicated to the
treatment of individuals with Hansen’s
disease, formerly known as leprosy. MSSI’s
staff of Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants
provides patient care services at these facilities 7 days per week, 365
days per year.
