MYRA News Myriad Announces Commencement of Resort Design & Engineering
EDMONTON, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 28, 2006--Myriad Entertainment & Resorts, Inc., a Delaware corporation (OTCBB:MYRA), announced today that Myriad-Tunica initiated the engineering for the design of its proposed $1.9 billion resort in Tunica, Mississippi. Myriad-Tunica's immediate business objective is to develop and build a $1.9 billion, 540-acre resort in Tunica, Mississippi featuring the world's first fully enclosed, climate controlled championship golf course, a 1,200-room convention hotel, two 500-room casino hotels, casino, convention center and spectacular gardens. Myriad-Tunica has been granted development and gaming site approvals for the Tunica resort.
Mr. Scott Hawrelechko, Founder of Myriad Entertainment stated that an agreement has been executed between Myriad and Allen & Hoshall for all civil, mechanical, piping, fire protection, and electrical engineering on the project. Allen & Hoshall is one of the premier architectural and engineering firms in the nation. The firm was founded in 1915 in Memphis, Tennessee and has offices in Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga, Tennessee and Jackson, Tunica, and Hernando, Mississippi. Hawrelechko said that "designation of Allen & Hoshall as the Engineer of Record for our world-class resort is a significant step to bring us closer to groundbreaking."
Under this Agreement, Allen & Hoshall will initially be working closely with master planning specialist Paul Ma Design of Perth, Australia in developing the conceptual site design for the project. Allen & Hoshall will develop parcelization plans for the major theme components of the resort, along with metes and bounds and topographic surveys for each parcel. Allen & Hoshall will also direct geotechnical investigations to determine design parameters for resort structures.
Engineering principals John Almond PE and Michael Young PE of Allen & Hoshall will be directing these engineering services.
