Optio(R) Software, Inc. (OTCBB:OPTO), a leading provider of Business Process Improvement (BPI) solutions dedicated to helping companies achieve higher levels of efficiency and accuracy in their inbound and outbound document processes, announced today that Ingersoll Rand has signed a global license agreement to deliver Optio's document management solution across its entire enterprise, which spans dozens of global industrial and commercial brands and more than 80 manufacturing facilities.

Under the agreement, Ingersoll Rand, a leading diversified industrial company, will provide Optio's e.ComPresent(TM) solution in tandem with their newly standardized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application to all subsidiaries as part of an ongoing strategy to consolidate and standardize the company's multiple ERP systems (additional terms were not disclosed).

According to Michael Macrie, Ingersoll Rands' director of worldwide backoffice systems, the company currently operates 121 unique ERP instances throughout the organization. The global standardization effort will move all legacy ERP systems to a single standard application, while providing the company with leading-edge technology that will optimize document-driven processes across multiple brands and borders.
