Crystal Graphite Corporation ("CGC")(OTCBB:CYTGF) (CNQ:CYTG) announces Canada Pumice Corporation ("CPC") has resumed quarry production and processing of its light weight volcanic aggregates. Sales over the winter months were serviced from inventories that were produced in late fall. Sales and demand for CPC light weight construction aggregate is strong going forward this Spring 2005, an indicator of the very active construction boom taking place in the lower mainland. CPC products have been specified in many upcoming projects, with one large project underway utilizing it's high performance product Tephralite(TM) for a road base job. As well CPC has gained additional market share for its landscape and horticultural/agricultural line in BC, Alberta and Washington State. This spring CPC introduced two new bagged products, Lavascape(TM) and Santa Fe Shale(TM) for the retail homeowner market.
CGC graphite operations continues to market high purity flake graphite from the Black Crystal deposit for use in the production of Bi-polar plates for the fuel cell industry and Redox Battery Systems with significant interest on a global basis. Operations has approximately one year inventory of raw plant feed and processed bagged high purity flake graphite. Research and development for the Phase II capital expansion of the graphite processing plant is underway. CGC is successfully pursuing the marketing of other grades of graphite from China into the North American market that CGC does not produce and expects it will exceed 5 million pounds on an annualized basis during the current year.
Crystal Graphite Corporation is an industrial mineral company operating the Black Crystal Project near Nelson, BC producing high purity flake graphite and its wholly owned subsidiary Canada Pumice Corporation which produces volcanic rock material including pumice and scoria at its Nazko Cone quarry near Quesnel, BC.
