ALMI News Atlas Mining Company Adds Second Shift at Dragon Mine
OSBURN, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 2005--Atlas Mining Company (OTCBB:ALMI) announced today that its Dragon Mine operation in Juab County, Utah has added a second shift to its work force. According to its President, William Jacobson, the operation recently started a second shift in an effort to reach some underground areas where additional known beds of halloysite clay exist. According to geological records a bed of halloysite clay has been blocked out near the 300 foot level. By opening up this area a secondary escapeway for the mine will also become available in accordance with safety regulations. According to Jacobson, "We have had some problems finding good employees with the experience necessary to handle this job, but we have added some good hands to our crew structure, and we feel things will move faster now. Instead of 8 to 10 hours a day we now can get 16 to 20 hours of production." Jacobson went on to state, "Although winter is upon us here in Utah, we are much more prepared this year than last. The roads are in good shape, and we are set up much better now. I don't think the weather will slow us down much."
