PAYD News Paid Inc Celebrity Services VP Kristen Kuliga Named to Boston Business Journal's ''40 Under 40'' Emerging Business Leaders

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Paid Inc. (OTCBB: PAYD) today announced that Kristen Kuliga, VP of Paid celebrity services, has been named to The Boston Business Journal’s prestigious “40 Under 40” for 2006. The program recognizes emerging business leaders in Greater Boston.

Michael Olivieri, publisher of the Boston Business Journal said, “Our 40 Under 40 class reflects the deep talent pool that gives Boston its economic edge.”

“Kristen is an outstanding business leader who shines as an example for integrity, motivation, creative thinking and working smart,” said Greg Rotman, CEO of Paid, Inc. “Kristen came on board in 2004 to launch and build our new celebrity services business after we completely revamped our business model. Kristen’s team has brought in major clients and has steadily built revenues in celebrity services and sports marketing to more than 94% of our total revenue. Annual revenue increased 165% in 2005 and we continue to show triple digit percentage increases in revenue in 2006, largely due to our celebrity services business. Kristen continues to help us raise the bar for excellence in the celebrity services industry.”

University of Massachusetts President Jack Wilson said “Kristen is respected in the sports industry for her integrity and her ability to ‘get the job done.’ We are proud to have her as an alumna of the University of Massachusetts.”

“Kristen has accomplished more since graduating from college than many aspire to achieve in a lifetime,” said Glenn Mangurian, Executive in Residence, University of Massachusetts. “As a pioneer in the sports and entertainment business, her success continues to pave the way for other young women in this male-dominated field. I join fellow alumni of the University of Massachusetts in celebrating her accomplishments and her recognition by the Boston Business Journal.”

Ms. Kuliga has become one of the most respected names in the sports and entertainment marketing business in her 13-year career. Ms. Kuliga heads Paid’s celebrity services business which provides musical artists, professional athletes and other celebrities a comprehensive array of business services such as fan club management, and VIP ticket package sales, merchandising, memorabilia authentication and Web site development and management.

She founded and continues to operate K Sports & Entertainment, a sports marketing and event management firm that was acquired by Paid, Inc in 2004. A practicing attorney in Massachusetts, and one of only a handful of female NFL agents, Ms. Kuliga negotiated Doug Flutie’s San Diego Chargers $33 million contract, his contract with the New England Patriots and his current ABC/ESPN broadcast contract. She currently represents 10 NFL players and free agents and provides sports marketing services to several athletes in a variety of professional sports. Ms. Kuliga has negotiated sponsorship and endorsement contracts with companies such as: Reebok, NIKE, MCI, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Papa Gino’s, ESPN, McDonald’s, Sports Illustrated and Motorola. She also has managed events for NFL players and corporations including: Flutie Celebrity Golf Tournament and Sister to Sister Foundation’s Women’s Heart Day.

Prior to opening K Sports & Entertainment, Kuliga held positions as General Counsel and VP of Athlete Marketing at Woolf Associates, a full-service sports management and marketing firm. She is a cum laude graduate of both the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Suffolk University Law School.

Active in the community, Kuliga currently is an officer of the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation and is a founding member and on the board of directors of the Shelter Legal Services Foundation, which renders pro bono legal services for the homeless.
