RACINE, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 20, 2005--The Board of Directors of Pacific Sands, Inc. (OTCBB:PFSD) is proud to welcome Dr. Jack Hagarty as the company's in-house Product Research Chemist.
Dr. Hagarty will spearhead new product development at Pacific Sands as the company moves forward with the introduction of its nontoxic, earth and health-friendly pet care, household cleaning and soon to be announced other product lines.
With over $9 billion in annual sales, SC Johnson and Son is one of the world's largest manufacturers of consumer chemical products, including Drano, Glade, OFF!, Pledge, Raid, Shout, Windex, and Ziploc.(a) During his tenure there, Dr. Hagarty was instrumental in the development of numerous products, specializing in micro-emulsion technology, environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional aerosols and sanitizers as well as the organic synthesis of new insecticide molecules. Dr. Hagarty, who earned his PhD in Organic Chemistry from Duquesne University, retired from SC Johnson in 1999 and has worked as a consultant since that time.
