SDGL News Secured Digital Names Technology Partners for Worldwide Business Services Operation

SADDLE BROOK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Secured Digital Applications, Inc. (OTCBB:SDGL) today announced that it has selected Document Imaging Solutions, Inc., and Argati.com as technology partners for its United States outsourced business process division.

Secured Digital is a global multi-media production and information technology company with its principal operations in Malaysia. The company is scheduled to introduce its outsourced business services product in the United States in November through its subsidiary, SDA Worldwide, Inc. The outsourced business process to be offered by SDA Worldwide will include digital document and workflow management, accounting and bookkeeping services, financial reporting and business intelligence applications, virtual office services, data entry, and receivables and payables management.

"These technology providers will give SDA Worldwide Business Services the ability to offer a complete and integrated outsourcing solution for the small and medium enterprise," said Patrick Lim, Secured Digital's chairman and chief executive officer.

"We will be able to combine this technology with our ability to provide access to our secure, competitively priced workforce in Malaysia," Lim explained. "This will provide our customers with the ability to reduce overhead, to integrate document management and accounting functions and to dramatically improve the visibility of their business operation."

Lim explained that the technology developed by Document Imaging Solutions was selected because it provides the latest "thin client" technology that permits users to access sophisticated information technology systems via the internet and because it will provide a platform to integrate document management with financial applications. A thin client application operates without installation of separate computer programs on the user's desktop computer.

The solutions selected by the company were:

  • e-DMS/Workflow.Net by Document Imaging Solutions, located in Dayton Ohio. e-DMS is a digital document management and workflow management utilizing an internet-based client-server technology. Under the terms of a license with Document Imaging Solutions, SDA Worldwide will act as a hosted solution provider offering access to the e-DMS/Workflow.Net technology. e-DMS/Workflow.net provides complete document management through their life-cycle, from authoring and/or capture through review, approval, distribution, change/revision and archiving.
  • Argati.com located in Troy, Ohio, will provide hosting, support and backup services through its data center in Detroit, Michigan. Argati is a provider of remote data services, including off-site backup and remote hosting.

"We believe that our experience with multiple operating subsidiaries and centralized business functions make us well suited to provide outsourced business processes," Lim said. "Our location in Malaysia, meanwhile, permits us to take advantage of a well-trained, English-speaking workforce and the government's unqualified support of outsourcing providers."
