SKFT News StrikeForce Technologies and the Fraud Resource Groups' Identity Theft Prevention Software - GuardedID(R) Offered to State of Kansas Employees
EDISON, N.J. & BETTENDORF, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StrikeForce Technologies, (OTCBB: SKFT) and the Fraud Resource Group
announced today that the State of Kansas’
Employee Discount Program, (STAR) State Thanks And Recognition project,
is featuring GuardedID®,
the software that safeguards consumers online financial transactions
from the #1 growing menace of online cyber thieves also known as
keyloggers.
The Division of Personnel, along with other state agencies, developed
STAR to provide state employees with the opportunity to take advantage
of their employment status by receiving discounts on goods and services.
The STAR project showcases discounts and local deals that are available
to all state employees.
StrikeForce Technologies strategic partner, TrustedCustomer.com a
division of the Fraud Resource Group was instrumental in working with
the State of Kansas to get GuardedID®added to the STAR program.
GuardedID takes a proactive approach to stopping keyloggers by
encrypting every keystroke the instant keys are typed and rerouting
those encrypted keystrokes directly to the Web browser through GuardedID’s
own secure pathway. GuardedID®
bypasses the typical places keyloggers normally reside, thereby helping
to eliminate a vulnerability that could compromise personal information
and cause great financial loss.
“The risk of losing sensitive information to
online identity thieves is growing exponentially,”
said Jon McDowall of The Fraud Resource Group. “Offering
GuardedID anti-keylogging protection to the State of Kansas employees is
an excellent way to help them maintain their financial well-being.”
“We are seeing a rapidly growing trend of
concerned organizations – from state
governments, to large health care organizations to global businesses,
providing GuardedID’s protection as an
employee benefit option to safeguard them from online cyber thieves who
want to prey on people to tap into their 401ks, their personal identity
or credit card numbers,” said George Waller,
EVP of StrikeForce Technologies.
A report from Gartner issued last week points out that almost nine
million US adults have stopped using online banking, while another
estimated 23.7 million won't even start because of fears over online
security breaches.
