SKFT News StrikeForce Offers Early Christmas Present To Qualified Identity Theft Victims: Free Access To GuardedID(R), The Industry's Most Powerful Anti-Keylogging Software
EDISON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StrikeForce Technologies (OTCBB:SKFT), a company that specializes in the
prevention of identity theft, today announced it is seeking out victims
of online identity theft to participate in a consumer education program.
The Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, estimates 15 million people will have
their identity compromised in 2006, or more than a 350% increase over
the previous year.
To safeguard consumers from cyber thieves who have secretly installed
malicious keylogging software on their home and office PC’s,
designed to capture bank, credit card, and other personal information as
it’s typed, StrikeForce is asking victims of
identity theft to register and share their story and contact information
at story@guardedid.com.
Qualified and verified participants will receive a free copy StrikeForce’s
GuardedID®, a powerful new tool to help
prevent online identity theft resulting from keyloggers.
“We want to bring the huge problem of online
identity theft to the forefront to protect people from cyber criminals
who are using very clever methods to secretly install their keylogging
software on PC’s to steal credit and banking
information from citizens,” said George
Waller, EVP of StrikeForce Technologies. “This
education program will reward and protect victims of identity theft with
a one year free license of GuardedID to give them the peace of mind
knowing that they can now bank, shop, email and browse online because
GuardedID is protecting their online activities,”
added Waller.
According to news reports there is a huge increase in e-card-based spam
e-mail, the subject line typically reads, "You've received a greeting
from a family member" or "You've received an animated postcard." When
the recipient clicks on the card link they could unwittingly be
downloading software that will steal their identity, credit information,
their money or worse.
