SkyLynx Communications, Inc. (OTCBB: SKYC), a fast-growing data wireless network provider for mobile and static applications, announced today that it has engaged Westminster Securities Corporation as its investment banker. Westminster will provide merger and acquisition (M&A) consulting services as well as examine strategic and financial options as SkyLynx expands its wireless network throughout the United States, with the objective of rapidly achieving national coverage.
SkyLynx' proprietary narrowband network facilitates multiple business applications including real-time automated vehicle location (AVL), telemetry, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and location-based services (LBS). The Company's state-of-the-art broadband network supports large, high-speed data capabilities, Internet access and voice communications.
SkyLynx CEO, Gary Brown, commented that the Company's new relationship with Westminster will provide a timely boost for the Company as it executes its growth strategy: "During 2005 SkyLynx plans to commence operations in selected markets in Texas, California, Oregon, Virginia, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, Utah, Florida and New Jersey, subject to obtaining the necessary financing.
