Former Apple Sales Manager Yasenka Joins Simtrol, Inc. (SMRL.OB) As VP Tuesday, August 19th, 2008
Debbie Yasenka is Simtrol’s new vice president of channels. The announcement by the company (OTCBB: SMRL) was made yesterday and her position is effective immediately.
Yasenka was most recently the vice president of channels for Promethean, a force in the educational technology field. The move strengthens the ties between the two companies. She was with Promethean as they first entered the U.S. market. Before that, Apple Inc. employed her as national sales manager, where she also focused on the education field.
This experience fits right into Simtrol’s focus moving forward, said Oliver Cooper, Simtrol CEO, “Her knowledge, experience and commitment to building high-performance teams will propel Simtrol as we expand into new markets.”
Other, previous roles include president of Visual Systems Development Group, vice president of Analytical Technologies, Inc. and Strategic Alliances Director for Modis, Inc. “Simtrol has acquired a tremendous asset,” said Mark Elliott, president of Promethean U.S.A. “Debbie’s leadership and experience will accelerate the effectiveness of our partnership with Simtrol.”
