SPGR News Superior Galleries Announces Its First Elite Auction for 2006
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 28, 2005--Superior Galleries, Inc. ("Superior") (OTCBB:SPGR) announced today that its next Elite Auction will be held on January 2, 2006 in Orlando, Florida, preceding the annual FUN Convention. Many named collections are included in this offering, most notable being the Franklin Dean Collection: a stunning consignment of fresh, old holder rarities. This collection of nearly 250 coins was certified in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and virtually every coin has outstanding eye appeal. Many of the coins have beautiful original toning, and some are the finest known for the date or type.
Highlights from the Dean Collection include but are not limited to:
-- Several Proof 68 Morgan Dollars
-- An 1805 Draped Bust Dime 4 Berries NGC MS67
-- An 1835 NGC MS67 Bust Dime
-- An eye-popping 1899 proof set, graded PCGS PR66 through PR68

This auction will be especially strong in Morgan and Peace Silver dollars, many of which are in older PCGS and NGC holders. Opportunities to buy coins as fresh and eye appealing as these come along very seldom. Of equal interest for collectors, most of the coins come across the auction block at absolute auction without reserve, or with very conservative reserves.
With several impressive consignments, including the amazing Franklin Dean Collection, this one-day auction promises to be a memorable numismatic event that should not be missed. Lot viewing for the Franklin Dean and other collections will be available at the Baltimore Coin Show December 8-10, 2005; at our Beverly Hills offices by appointment; or in Orlando just prior to the auction.
