SSBX News Silver State Bank Opens Central Administration Building
HENDERSON, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 29, 2006--Silver State Bank President and CEO Corey Johnson announced today the opening of its new Central Administration Building located at 1081 Whitney Ranch Drive in Henderson.
The new $7 million, 30,000-square-foot building will house many of the company's shared resources including loan processing, information technology and compliance offices. Collins Development served as general contractor for the project.
"The opening of our Central Administration Building shows the growing strength of Silver State Bank," said Johnson. "By opening this facility we will be able to service our customers quickly and more efficiently. Many services that are traditionally outsourced by community banks will now be contained in the new building and controlled by Silver State personnel."
Silver State Bank has opened more than six locations throughout the region in the past two years with three more scheduled in the near future. Over the past 10 years, the bank has grown from a five-person operation to housing more than 200 employees.
Henderson-based Silver State Bancorp operates nine branches in southern Nevada through its wholly owned subsidiary, Silver State Bank. Locations are 400 N. Green Valley Parkway (corporate headquarters), 4200 E. Sunset Road and 65 W. Lake Mead Drive in Henderson; 170 S. Rainbow Blvd., 5547 S. Rainbow Blvd., 8901 West Sahara Ave. and 9415 West Flamingo Ave. in Las Vegas; 1225 W. Craig Road in North Las Vegas; and 1000 Boulder Highway in Boulder City. The bank also operates loan production offices in Reno, Nev.; Salt Lake City; Portland, Ore.; Phoenix; Seattle; Denver; Los Angeles; and Sacramento, Calif. The company is listed on the NASDAQ O-T-C Bulletin Board under the symbol SSBX.OB.
