TCPS News TechnoConcepts' Chief Scientist Delivers Speech at International Conference
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TechnoConcepts, Inc. (OTCBB:TCPS) today announced that Dr. Oleg
Panfilov, the Company’s Chief Scientist of
the California-based wireless technology provider, gave a presentation
at the plenary session of the International Conference on Actual
Problems of Election Devices Engineering (APEDE’
2006)in Russia. The conference, held on September 20-21
in Saratov, was sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic
Engineers and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In his presented paper, entitled “Frequency
Agile Signal Processing in Direct Conversion Software Radio,”
Dr. Panfilov described the tremendous potential of the Company’s
True Software Radio™ in providing reliable
communication between otherwise incompatible communication systems,
regardless of their frequency bands or standards, through the processing
of received wireless signals digitally. The technology solves the
problem of system interoperability in a highly fragmented communication
environment. However, to realize all the potential benefits of direct
conversion radio, a few vital signal processing problems originating
from the specifics of software radio have to be addressed. One of the
major challenges comes from outband interference. Since interference by
its nature is not predictable, it has to be cancelled by using adaptive
means while concurrently not impairing the useful signal. The Company
has developed technology designed to accomplish this: it’s
"Adaptive Narrowband Interference Canceller for Broadband Systems," for
which a U.S. pending patent is pending.
About TechnoConcepts
TechnoConcepts (OTCBB:TCPS) designs, develops and markets semiconductors
for wireless communications. The Company has developed and patented True
Software Radio(TM), a proprietary technology that creates convergence
for the wireless industry. True Software Radio(TM) chipsets are designed
to enable cell phones, PDAs, laptops, and other mobile devices with
different radio frequencies, standards and protocols to adjust by
software command so that they can communicate directly with each other,
across otherwise incompatible networks, without multiple radios. True
Software Radio(TM) chipsets replace the front end, I/F processing, ADC,
and digital filtering sections of digital radios. Because the technology
simplifies design and reduces component costs, the Company believes that
True Software Radio(TM) is an ideal platform for original equipment
manufacturers (OEMs) and original design manufacturers (ODMs) to develop
new wireless broadband, mobile data, cellular and other next-generation
wireless applications.
