UAMY News U.S. Antimony Announces Completion of Mexican Antimony Smelter

THOMPSON FALLS, Mont.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 7, 2006--United States Antimony Corporation (OTCBB:UAMY) announced that USAMSA (a wholly owned subsidiary of United States Antimony Corp, "USAC") has essentially completed the construction of its antimony smelting facility in Coahuila, Mexico. The plant was designed to process antimony ores and concentrates and produce antimony metal and oxide with silver and gold byproducts. The plant will treat antimony and silver concentrates from a property controlled by Antimonio de Mexico S. A. de C. V. (a wholly owned subsidiary of USAC) in the state of Queretaro, Mexico. However, other smelter feed is being negotiated from Peru, Honduras, Mexico, Europe, Canada, and the United States.

Funding for the plant has been obtained in part by USAC processing a legacy slag pile at Thompson Falls, Montana as well as equity sources.

The Company plans to play a strategic role in the supply of antimony to the United States where it is the only significant domestic producer.
