VERA News Veramark Announces Stand-Alone Help Desk Solution Sale to State Government

PITTSFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Veramark Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: VERA) today announced a significant order from a state government agency for its Help Desk, Trouble Ticket, Work Order application.

This sale is particularly significant in that it is unrelated to Telemanagement and Call Accounting. The sale represents another step in Veramark’s strategy to expand beyond telecom into the Business Process Management/Operational Support Systems marketplace.

The stand-alone VeraSMART Help Desk application will be used to manage inquiries made to the state’s call center, and to ensure that the state tracks, documents, and responds to all such inquiries. Over 50 state employees will have the ability to create work orders for each inquiry the state receives. The inquiries then will be routed to the appropriate state agency for research. The Veramark Help Desk application will allow the state not only to track and report on all inquiries, but also to create escalation rules that will automatically rout the inquiry to management when response times exceed guidelines. The implementation of the VeraSMART Help Desk Application will allow the state to make commitments on response times which heretofore the state was unable to make.

Veramark won this order in the face of stiff competition from entrenched providers of competitive solutions. Veramark’s solution was chosen because of its robust functionality, and its ease of use. The state particularly liked the ability to self-configure escalation rules and other agency requirements.
