VSNI News Viseon Awarded Frost and Sullivan Excellence in Technology Award

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 8, 2005--Viseon, Inc. (OTCBB: VSNI), a global developer of broadband personal communications solutions for VoIP announced today that Frost and Sullivan has selected it as the recipient of the 2005 North American VoIP End Point Excellence in Technology Award. This award recognizes the company's revolutionary and imaginative development of the VisiFone(TM) Digital Multimedia Telephone.

Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this Award to a company that has pioneered the development and introduction of an innovative technology into the market; a technology that has either impacted or has the potential to impact several market sectors. This Award recognizes a company's successful technology development that is expected to bring significant contributions to the communications industry in terms of adoption, change, and competitive posture. It also recognizes the overall technical excellence of a company and its commitment to technology innovation.

Viseon's Digital Multimedia Telephone, the VisiFone, is the first product of its kind to combine a carrier-class Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) end point with state-of-the-art video and an interactive multimedia content delivery capability. "While other manufacturers are offering videophones, other products do not contain the features available in the VisiFone or are not available in this price range," says Frost & Sullivan research analyst Lynda Starr. "While the rest of the industry has been talking about the possibility of a feature-rich videophone, Viseon has developed it and therefore is worthy of Frost & Sullivan's Excellence in Technology Award."

"We are proud of this achievement that recognizes the results of our entire dedicated team," commented John Harris, president and CEO. "The VisiFone is a revolutionary endpoint that enables new and exciting service offerings that differentiate broadband phone service from traditional analog telephone service. In addition to many of the features included in the recently released Verizon One phone, the VisiFone provides not only interactive media access, but adds significant value for carriers and consumers with its digital CD-quality audio and TV-quality two-way video functionality," added Harris.

The VisiFone has been primarily designed for consumer VoIP applications, but it will also appeal to the large market of corporate and government video communications users that currently have Tandberg, Polycom and Sony video conferencing systems that are too expensive to deploy to the individual desktop.

About the VisiFone

The VisiFone is the first Digital Home Telephone for VoIP. It has been designed with input from numerous VoIP carriers to deliver consumers all of the benefits of broadband digital telephony on a single device. Features include digital WideBand audio, TV-quality videophone capabilities and on-screen management of VoIP features and preferences. The VisiFone will be available to consumers through VoIP carriers later in 2005.
