Busshaus was chosen from a group of five finalists in his respective category by an independent panel of judges. The finalists were narrowed from a field of 80 nominees from the Pittsburgh region. Judging criteria included the nominee's career achievements and contributions to the company's growth, profitability and other aspects of corporate management.
Since joining Wizzard in early 2006, Busshaus’ strategic financial planning and administrative efforts have strengthened the foundation of Wizzard Software and positioned the company to experience rapid growth. He skillfully guided the company through four successful acquisitions in less than one year, as well as two capital raises (private placements) worth approximately $10M. He has been diligently working on taking the Company to the American Stock Exchange, an important step for Wizzard and its shareholders, while making every effort to ensure that the Company is Sarbanes-Oxley compliant. (It should be noted that Wizzard’s listing on AMEX is contingent upon application approval and the Company’s compliance with all other listing requirements. There is no assurance that the application will be approved.)
Additionally, Mr. Busshaus provides guidance and advice to not only the CEO but to the entire management team on a variety of matters ranging from business development to human resources. He also plays an active role in the community by serving on the board of directors and as Treasurer of the Pittsburgh-based non-profit organization Center for Hearing & Deaf Services (HDS). Busshaus has shown a strong commitment to the region in his overall twenty-plus year career, which has been dedicated to servicing businesses and companies in Pittsburgh.
"It is truly an honor to be the recipient of this award and to represent Wizzard as the CFO," said Busshaus. “I am excited to be a member of the Wizzard Executive team and look forward to assisting the Company in achieving future financial and administrative goals as it continues down the path of growth and success.”
