XDSL News mPhase Technologies Sets Date for YouTube Nanobattery Demonstration

LITTLE FALLS, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--mPhase Technologies (OTC:XDSL), today announced that it is posting a video demonstration of its Smart Nanobattery on the popular YouTube web site on Friday, February 16th at 5 p.m. Eastern time. The video explains the technology behind its breakthrough development of a “smart” battery based on nanotechnology.

The video illustrates in layman’s terminology some fundamental concepts behind the company’s smart nano battery. mPhase has proven it is possible to fabricate nanotech-based “smart” batteries, which can store reserve power for decades and generate electric current virtually on demand.

The prototype battery is based on a discovery that liquid droplets of electrolyte will stay in a dormant state atop nanotextured surfaces until stimulated to flow, thereby triggering a reaction producing electricity. This effect can permit precise control and activation of the batteries when required.

The video will be available to view on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com. One of the fastest growing websites on the internet, YouTube is a very popular free video sharing website which allows its users to upload, share and view video clips. According to a 2006 survey, 100 million clips are viewed daily on YouTube, with almost 20 million visitors each month. Acquired by Google for $1.65 billion in November 2006, YouTube was named TIME magazine's "Invention of the Year" for 2006.
