XNOM News Xenomics CEO Dr. Randy White to Present Company's Tr-DNA Technology Platform and Market Outlook at Frankfurt Stock Day; Participation at Respected European Financial Conference Expected to Enhance Strategic Relationships in International Communi

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 5, 2005--Xenomics, Inc. (OTCBB:XNOM), a developer of next-generation medical DNA technologies, announced today that CEO Dr. Randy White will be presenting an overview of the Company's market and investment outlook at the Frankfurt Stock Day, a respected annual European investment conference, to be held in Frankfurt, Germany, on September 1, 2005.

The Frankfurt Stock Day conference attracts retail and fund investors throughout Germany. "Following the recent allowance of our first European patent, Xenomics is participating in the Frankfurt Stock Day, to broaden our exposure internationally and expand our opportunities for strategic partnering in Europe," said Dr. White. "Europe is a large market for our future products and we welcome the opportunity to broaden awareness of our Transrenal-DNA platform in the German and European investment community."

Recently, Xenomics was granted its first European patent for its breakthrough Tr-DNA technology to detect fetal genetic abnormalities. The new patent expands the Company's intellectual property assets in Europe and helps the Company in its overall efforts to establish marketing channels in the global multi-billion-dollar medical molecular diagnostics industry. Dr. White noted: "This latest patent underscores and strengthens our primary mission to create and market a simple urine test that effectively, easily and safely screens for Down syndrome and other fetal genetic abnormalities, based on our Tr-DNA technology platform." The patent will formally issue after the standard nine-month public comment period.

Xenomics conducts some of its most important research and development in Europe through its joint venture with the National Institute for Infectious Diseases (Instituto Nazionale per le Malattie Infettive "Lazarus Spallanzani") in Rome, in the form of a R&D company called SpaXen Italia, S.R.L. SpaXen is conducting groundbreaking research to develop Tr-DNA tests to detect infectious diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis and malaria. The research at SpaXen has led to the filing of several U.S. and international patents demonstrating the ability of Xenomics' Tr-DNA platform technology to diagnose a broad range of bacterial, viral and parasite-generated infectious diseases.

About Xenomics, Inc.

Xenomics is a molecular diagnostic company that focuses on the development of DNA-based tests using Transrenal DNA (Tr-DNA). Xenomics' patented technology uses safe and simple urine collection and can be applied to a broad range of applications, including prenatal testing, tumor detection and monitoring, tissue transplantation, infectious disease detection, genetic testing for forensic identity determination, drug development, and research to counter bioterrorism. Scientists from Xenomics were the first to report that fragments of DNA from normal cell death cross the kidney barrier and can be detected in urine. The Company believes that its technology will open significant new markets in the molecular diagnostics field. Xenomics has three issued U.S. patents covering different applications of the technology for molecular diagnostics and genetic testing, a newly allowed European patent for prenatal genetic testing and nine pending US and European patent applications. The Company has organized a joint venture to conduct research on infectious disease detection with the National Institute for Infectious Diseases (Instituto Nazionale per le Malattie Infettive "Lazarus Spallanzani") in Rome, in the form of a new R&D company called SpaXen Italia, S.R.L.
