BKBO News BakBone Names David Schneider Vice President, Strategic Partner Group
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BakBone Software®
(Pink Sheets:BKBO), a global provider of heterogeneous integrated data
protection solutions, today announced the appointment of David Schneider
as vice president of BakBone’s strategic
partner group. Schneider’s responsibilities
will include managing BakBone’s current
worldwide OEM partner alliances including Sun Microsystems,
NCR-Teradata, Network Appliance, Apple, NEC and Fujitsu, as well as
developing future strategic relationships as BakBone extends its global
reach into the enterprise marketplace.

Bringing to BakBone entrepreneurial, sales, marketing, general
management and technology expertise spanning 23 years, Schneider most
recently was the managing director of Coral Sea Holdings, Inc., a
Florida-based investment holding company. Prior to starting Coral Sea
Holdings, Schneider served as president and chief executive officer of
sanrise, a global storage service provider (SSP) with over 400 people
and offices around the world. Instrumental in raising over $200M of
investment in sanrise in its initial 11 months, Schneider successfully
developed a business focused on the delivery of storage services to over
1000 clients, including leading worldwide brands such as Morgan Stanley,
General Motors, Toyota, and SingTel. Schneider joined sanrise from AT&T
where he served as CIO of AT&T Growth Markets, an $8 billion concern. In
addition, he held a number of senior management and sales positions
while at AT&T across multiple disciplines. David holds a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Marketing from the University of Florida and has
completed Executive Technology Programs at both Harvard University and
the University of Pennsylvania.
