Clifton Mining Company Inc. (OTC: CFTN message board, news, dd, quote) - ABL new record sale announced
ALPINE, UT, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - American Biotech Labs (ABL), a private company (Clifton Mining Company owns over 24% of ABL) has just received the largest single order in the company's history, doubling its previous record. The private label order from a European company was for 150,000 bottles of ABL product.
THE NEW ORDER
-------------
The largest previous single order was for 75,000 bottles. The company that just purchased the 150,000 bottles from ABL has been a client of ABL for five years and started with a single order of only 2,500 bottles at a time.
Said Keith Moeller, a managing director for the company, 'Management sees this steady growth as the ultimate verification of the product's effectiveness. Double digit growth is occurring in almost every market sector. This growth is occurring not just through the acquisition of new accounts, but through existing accounts as well. Last year saw sales growth near 50%. The order we have just received lays a foundation for another excellent year. In addition, the company is planning to release two new products this summer.
Clifton Mining Company Inc. (OTC : CFTN) - Kiewit Gold Zone and Porphyry Target Drilling Resumes
ALPINE, UT, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Clifton Mining Company announces that its joint venture partner has resumed the reverse circulation drilling on the Kiewit Project after a short break over the Holiday Season. Five holes have so far been completed, and this drilling will continue through January. Intentions are to convert to core drilling scheduled to start mid- February.
The overall twelve hole program will test strike extensions of the Kiewit Gold Zone and also the flanking porphyry target discovered by Clifton earlier in the year. Initial holes over the porphyry target are being drilled for geological reasons to help better target subsequent drilling over this one mile diameter anomaly.
Three of the holes completed so far were drilled to test northerly and southerly projected extensions of the Kiewit gold zone. Two of these holes were drilled 100m apart, approximately 600m to the south of the Kiewit Historic Gold Zone, to test an apparently isolated exposure of gold bearing quartz stockworks. Both holes intersected stockworks sections indicating that the surface exposure extends at least 150m-200m downdip. The third hole, drilled 700m to the north of the Zone to test its northerly extension, was necessarily terminated at 570ft in bad ground and will be deepened by core drilling in February. This hole reached granodiorite below limestone cap-rock and also encountered abundant fine sulfides in a siliceous section at the base of the sedimentary unit.
One hole, drilled to test part of the porphyry target area, was terminated in bad ground at 720ft in siliceous material. This hole has not yet reached its target and will be deepened with core drilling in February.
Of the three holes planned to test the Rainbow Hill Area, one hole has been completed to date. This area marks the northern extremity of the Gold Zone exposures and its testing was curtailed during 2005 by logistical difficulties. The completed hole intersected thick sections of quartz and other stockworks material.
The previous work in the area identified a series of gossan exposures and trenches located to the west of Rainbow Hill. Some of the samples from these exposures reported anomalous gold and copper (up to 1.8g/t gold up to 1.1% copper). Intentions are to drill test these areas. Assays are pending from all of the drilling completed to date, and will be announced once they are received.
lifton Mining Company Inc. (OTC : CFTN) - ABL animal study released
ALPINE, UT, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - American Biotech Labs (ABL), a private company (Clifton Mining Company owns over 24% of ABL) has just received the results of a completed animal study from an international partner in Mumbai, India. In the animal model study identified as number four, the bacteria infected animals showed a 66% survivability rate when given the ABL silver supplement in comparison to a 16% survivability rate in animals where the product was not used (the control group).
THE STUDY
---------
The study was completed by VIRIDIS BioPharma, a biopharma company that has partnered with ABL on a number of projects. The bacteria used in the study was a pathogenic strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a very deadly and problematic form of bacteria. The experimental animals were first given one dose of the ABL silver supplement (0.2 mg/kg) 24 hours before being infected with the bacteria, as a prophylactic dose (preventative dose). The animals were then injected intra-peritoneal with a large dose of bacteria (100,000,000 + bacteria count). The bacteria was then given four to five hours of untreated time to start infecting the animals. After the four to five hour start time, the animals were given the ABL silver supplement by gastric intubation at a level of 0.2 mg/kg, 32 ppm, every 8 hours until the animals either died or recovered. The animals were observed for 72 hours to see if they would live or die. Sixty-six percent of the supplement treated animals survived in the study showing normal eating, drinking, and grooming behavior. Only sixteen percent of the non-treated animals (control group) survived the bacterial infection.
While the exact mechanism of action of the ABL silver supplement is not known at this time, the authors of the study suggest that the product may be working as an immuno-modulator, meaning that the product may be stimulating the natural ability of the immune system to fight against the infection.
The results of this study are released for scientific background information only and are not intended to represent what the product may or may not do in human usage.

Clifton Mining Company Inc. (OTC : CFTN) - The potential significance of porphyries
ALPINE, UT, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - In response to several queries from investors asking just what is a porphyry and why we should be excited about its potential, the following is a highly informal account:
Imagine a very large pool of underground molten (liquid) lava. It is possible that there is a considerable amount of water under very high pressure circulating in this pool of magma. It is also possible that this water contains minute amounts of dissolved minerals. Over millions of years, the hot lava slowly cools and becomes a solid. Because this cooling is slow, a particular kind of large crystal, called phenoycrists, develops. These crystals allow easy identification of porphyritic rock. Over these millions of years, as the pressure, temperature, permeability, and chemical composition of the magma change, some of the mineralization dissolved in the water may precipitate, may drop out of the solution. There may be enough mineralization to form a commercial deposit.
Why the excitement? Because porphyries can be quite large and contain major commercial deposits. There is a belt of porphyries in southern Arizona that have produced considerable amounts of copper. And our Utah property is only about 100 miles from Kennecott's Bingham Canyon. To date, the Bingham Canyon open pit is 2 1/2 miles wide and 1/2 mile deep. The mine has produced 29 billion pounds of copper (more than any other mine in the world), 157 million ounces of silver, 18.5 million ounces of gold, as well as significant amounts of molybdenum and platinum.
Drilling resumes at Kiewit Gold Zone and porphyry target
(OTC : CFTN)
ALPINE, UT, Dec. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Encouraged by gold, copper and silver prices that are at 24-year highs, Dumont is set to resume drilling at the Kiewit Gold Zone and to begin drilling in the hope of defining a large porphyry underlying that area. At current prices, with gold at $530 per ounce, silver at nearly $9 per ounce, and copper at $2 per pound, the economic potential of a porphyry is the greatest it has been since 1981. Moreover, precious metals prices are likely to continue to rise, as the market is characterized by a severe supply shortfall and one of the largest short positions in the history of commodities. Pierre Lassonde, the CEO of Newmont Mining, recently claimed that he expected gold prices to exceed $1,000 per ounce within several years.
The area surrounding the potential porphyry is ringed by historic copper and gold mines. They form a rough circle with a radius of several kilometers, suggesting the potential for an enormous porphyry. A number of surface samples have returned anomalous values of gold and copper. As Dumont stated in their press release: 'An additional 450 soil samples collected across the area also reported anomalous metals from certain locations which also overlie faulting. These anomalous localities likely represent leakage from buried mineralization.'
ABL update on joint venture with General Resonance
Clifton Mining Company Inc. (OTC : CFTN)
ALPINE, UT, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - American Biotech Labs (ABL), a private company (Clifton Mining Company owns over 24% of ABL) wishes to update shareholders on the status of the ABL/GR joint venture.

Clifton Announces Discovery Of Porphyry Target at Kiewit West, Utah
Clifton Mining Company Inc. (OTC: CFTN)
ALPINE, UT, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Clifton is pleased to announce that the geophysical survey completed over the Kiewit Property to define extensions of the gold Zone beneath limestone cover identified a 1 mile Resistivity anomaly, flanking the Zone. The anomaly is reinforced by several other coincident anomalies, over an approximate 1 mile by 1 mile area, from historic third-party geophysical work, by topographic anomalies, and is further supported by considerable geological evidence since gathered from field verification work.
Overall, the multiple coincident anomalies are suggestive of the presence of extensive alteration and mineralization created by an intrusive stock. The geophysical evidence, taken with geological field evidence, support the presence of a hydrothermal system consistent with a porphyry sulfide model.
The anomalous area is flanked on its west by a series of historic copper, copper-tungsten, and copper-gold-silver mines, and on its east by lead-silver-gold mines, gold-copper mines and by gold-only showings. The anomalous area partly underlies a corridor of exhalatives including andesitic and rhyolitic porphyry tuffs, ashy tuffs, diatreme and other small siliceous plugs collectively demarcating a zone of considerable venting and fluid activity. Other geological features supporting a porphyry model include the presence of hydrothermal cherts, large barite veining and localized doming. Clifton is delighted by these developments and eagerly looks forward to Dumont's drilling of this massive target. Several other localities with similar geological 'signature' have since also been identified elsewhere on the Utah Properties. All of these localities merit immediate additional detailed follow-up.
The 7.5 square kilometer geophysical survey was completed during June over the entire Kiewit Project Area to trace extensions of the stockworks gold Zone down-dip and on-strike beneath limestone covering approximately half of the western parts of the Zone. The secondary objective of the survey was to probe for a possible mineralizing feeder system to support better localization of deep drilling targets beneath the Zone. The survey entailed concurrent Gradient Array Resistivity and Spontaneous Potential Gradient surveying over a 30m x 100m grid spacing.
The geophysical work was successful in tracing extensions of the better grading gold sections within the stockworks zone and results have enabled targeting of holes for the next stage of planned drilling.
What It Means
-------------
While the company was searching for extensions to the Kiewit Gold Zone, it discovered a large potential deposit more than a mile long. Evidence is mounting that this is a large porphyry. If this is a porphyry, this may be the source of other deposits in the area including the Kiewit Gold Zone. Porphyries can contain hundreds of millions to several billion tons of ore. The discovery of this potential porphyry may be the most valuable discovery to date. The most significant porphyry within one hundred miles of Clifton is Kennecott's Bingham Canyon. Bingham Canyon has long been one of the largest and most prolific copper-gold mines in the world.
