Nansulate Specialty Case Studies
International Airport
ISSUE:
Long-term protection of aluminum panels which are to be used in a
ceiling of the air link bridge at Suvanabhumi International airport, a
new state of the art international airport in Thailand.
SOLUTION:
Nansulate® PT was used to coat the aluminium sandwich panels, providing
them with long-term corrosion protection and offering added insulating
ability.
The
new Terminal Complex, in Nong Ngu Hao, Samut Prakarn Province, has a
total floor area of 500,000m2, making it the largest airport in the
world. Robertson supplied 11,530m2 of Robertson Wall Panels in
fluorocarbon painted aluminium and steel, which were used as roof and
soffit claddings for the terminal building's aerobridges, including the
double-decker aerobridges.
"Dear Sir,
We
wish to confirm that H H Robertson selected Nansulate for the coating
of the ceiling panels supplied to the air link bridges at Suvanabhumi
International Airport, Bangkok.
H
H Robertson pride themselves on supplying quality products to the
construction industry. This means they work with quality suppliers and
after a long and extensive investigation selected Nansulate over all
other coating systems, because it was the only product that met our
stringent technical requirements. One of the key issues that induced H
H Robertson to select Nansulate, was that the suppliers were prepared
to support the product with a warranty."
Your faithfully,
Chris Moor

ISSUE: Need to prevent transfer of heat on car components in the engine and fuel assembly.
SOLUTION:
Nansulate® Translucent High Heat is currently being used on cars by
four professional race teams (in NASCAR and V8 Super Car). Two teams
have been using Nansulate on their cars since 2005. All teams have seen
positive performance enhancement by using Nasulate to insulate
components in the engine and fuel assemly to reduce heat transfer and
increase horsepower and efficiency.
Aircraft
ISSUE: Protection of restored historical aircraft from condensation and corrosion while on display at a major aircraft museum.
SOLUTION:
Nansulate® Translucent PT offered a means of protection for the
aircraft from both condensation and corrosion. The invisible, thin film
layers allowed for protection without detracting from the majestic look
of the airplane.
"I
am writing to personally thank you and Industrial Nanotech for your
recent gift to the Seattle Museum of Flight's de Havilland Comet Mk4C
Restoration Project. The entire Comet restoration group wants you to
know how grateful we are for your product and the kind spirit behind
its gift.
The
coating you contributed has already become an important part of our
eventual exhibit. We have painted the interior of our aircraft's
forward passenger compartment's skin, and have already seen the
benefits of its protection through a significant reduction in
condensation. When we have completed the entire project, Industrial
Nanotech's coating will be an important hidden addition to the 'first
Jet Airliner' exhibit. The original interior skin finish was a
revolutionary (for 1959) epoxy. It seems appropriate that we replace it
with a revolutionary (for 2006) coating by Industrial Nanotech..."

Lead Encapsulation
ISSUE:
A large 3-story building in Atlanta was being renovated into commercial
office space. The environmental contractors hired for the job needed to
find a suitable form of lead abatement that would encapsulate the lead
and that was also cost effective.
SOLUTION:
After initial patch tests were completed successfully, Nansulate® LDX
was chosen for use in the 30,000 SF building to encapsulate the lead
contaminates. Nansulate® offered a cost effective solution and was the
only clear encapsulant that could be applied to the wide variety of
surfaces, including wood and brick.
Nansulate® is Patented technology protected by U.S. and international Patents.
