RFDL News 3M and RFID, LTD. Team Up
DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RFID, LTD. (OTC:RFDL) today announces execution of a Distributor Agreement between 3M Company Asset Protection and Identification business unit Track and Trace Solutions (NYSE:MMM) and RFID, LTD.
3M has appointed RFID, LTD as an authorized distributor, able to sell and promote 3M File Tracking Products to medical, legal, and government offices throughout the United States 48 contiguous states.
The 3M RFID File Tracking System eliminates unnecessary time spent searching for misplaced paper files.
"We are very excited about working with 3M and expanding our marketplace to include High Frequency (HF) RFID solutions,” said Nicholas Chavez, President of RFID, LTD. “There is a tremendous need to move our paper-document-based customers toward a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) document tracking solution and steer them away from the time intensive physical-sort or bar-coding methods.”
RFID technology does not need “line of sight” and therefore can read tags through some physical obstructions from a greater distance, making helping to make file locating and inventorying faster and easier.
"RFID, LTD. appears to be uniquely qualified to represent 3M to the U.S. Government, given their protected HUBZone status which allows them to act as a 'sole-source' supplier for Federal contracts up to $2 Million. We are very pleased to be working with them," said Joal Storm, Marketing Manager 3M Track and Trace Solutions.
The 3M RFID Tracking Solution System locates and identifies individual files via a tiny microchip and antenna embedded in a 3MTM RFID Tracking Tag that is affixed to each file. As a file moves from central file rooms, divisions/bureaus, or individual offices, a complete file history is tracked and can be easily viewed on any network computer. 3M provides a comprehensive, stand-alone file tracking system or a version which integrates with existing information systems.
"We plan to aggressively pursue medical, legal, and government offices to prove how the 3M RFID File Tracking System helps to expedites inventory management, scans and stores file locations, identifies misfiled documents, and finds lost files," notes RFID, LTD. president Nicholas Chavez.
RFIDLTD.
