Gulf Ethanol Retains Muse Stancil as Consulting Engineers

Gulf Ethanol Corporation, [OTC: GFET] has retained the international consulting firm of Muse Stancil as consulting engineers for the deployment of its cellulosic ethanol technology. Gulf Ethanol recently acquired the exclusive right to a revolutionary new technology, developed by Meridian Biorefining, Inc., that creates a fungible cellulose that studies show is far more effective as an ethanol feed-stock than anything available today.

A global leader in biofuels and refining, Muse Stancil provides downstream engineering and financial consulting to major energy companies such as Shell, [NYSE: RDS-A] and El Paso Corporation, [NYSE: EP]. Muse Stancil will assist Gulf Ethanol with the final design, deployment and financing of its cellulosic ethanol technology. Clients include the State of Alaska, Northern Ethanol, Hawkeye Ethanol and a large number of public companies. The also work with financial institutions such as JP Morgan Chase [NYSE: JPM] and Goldman Sachs [NYSE: GS].

“With an extensive history of projects in refining and renewable fuels, including work on over 60 new and existing ethanol plants, Muse Stancil will deliver analysis, expertise and validation to assist Gulf Ethanol as we begin to build our first commercial cellulosic ethanol plants,” stated JT Cloud, President of Gulf. “Muse will assist us with engineering, economic modeling, feasibility studies and key industry relationships as Gulf expands beyond the development stage into construction,” he added.

Muse Stancil is composed of registered professional engineers who bring best of breed insight to this project to assist Gulf in delivering its technology reliably and efficiently. Gulf expects to partner with existing ethanol manufacturers beginning in 2008 to allow them to use low-cost cellulosic feed stocks instead of corn – a much more expensive food-based feed stock. Muse has provided services to many existing ethanol plant owners with aggregate capacity of over 6.3 billion gallons per year. They provide project developers, evaluate construction and engineering, provide detailed due diligence assessments and competitive analysis. www.musestancil.com
