AWNE News Americas Wind Energy Corporation Announces an Order for an AWE 54-900 Windturbine from Wray School District RD2, Wray, Colorado
TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Americas Wind Energy Corporation (“AWEC” or the “Company”) (OTCBB:AWNE) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an order for one AWE 54-900 Windturbine by the school board for Wray School District RD2, in Wray, Colorado.
AWEC believes that the Wray School Board was attracted to the advanced technology, high reliability and low-maintenance features of the AWEC Direct Drive design. The Direct Drive design utilizes many fewer mechanical parts such as gears that add to operating and maintenance costs.
AWEC congratulates the Wray district School Administration, the Wray School Board and this forward-looking community on planning ahead for their future using what AWEC believes is a reliable, low-cost, renewable, environmentally friendly and domestic, rather than imported, source of energy.
The installation of this windturbine is planned for late 2007.
