Americas Wind Energy Announces Arrival of 900 KW Turbine Components

Americas Wind Energy Corporation (“AWE” or the “Company”) (OTCBB: AWNE) declares the arrival of the first components of two wind turbines in the United States.

The first shipment arrived at the port in Baltimore on December 13, 2007. The shipment included rotors, nacelles and generators destined for the Wind Vision project in St. Ansgar, Iowa, and the Wray School District project in Wray, Colorado.

The tower components are expected to arrive on December 21, 2007, and the blades are expected to depart the Netherlands December 21, 2007, arriving in Baltimore on January 9, 2008.

Erection of these wind turbines is expected in mid-January 2008, with commissioning to follow immediately thereafter. It is anticipated that many interested customers and other parties, including elected officials, will want to see the start-up of AWE’s direct drive units.

Wind Vision and the Wray School District represent two of the Company’s target markets (i.e. wind farms and education). Additional activity is expected in these market segments.

Photos of the arrival and transport of the components, indicating the size of the components involved, may be seen on the Company’s web site at www.awewind.com.

About Americas Wind Energy Corp.

AWE is focused on the manufacturing and marketing of medium sized (900 kW) wind turbines for the North American market. AWE’s strategy is to manufacture as much as possible in North America, with the intention of providing both cost effectiveness and local content. All of AWE’s projects to date have made use of local power converters.

AWE is and intends to remain a virtual manufacturer. This means AWE plans to subcontract the components of its wind turbines to qualified manufacturers and manufacturing partners to achieve the best in quality at the lowest cost. As a key part of the strategy of a virtual manufacturer, AWE plans to maintain strict quality assurance programs and quality control procedures for its subcontractors and partners.
